Getting the best Sullivans Island vacation rental experience:
How to get the best rental home value:
- June, July, and August are high season in Sullivans Island. To get the most suitable rental within budget, we suggest reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at Sullivan's Island restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Reserving your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
- Some hosts offer promotional rates for veterans. Ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Sullivan's Island area visitors guides which often include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Sullivan's Island visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Begin by choosing potential vacation weeks and a spending budget.
- Central Location
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is almost always available online. If they are not listed, call the property manager before you reserve your rental. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches.
- If there's an individual Sullivan's Island attraction you love, browse rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.

Additional considerations:
- Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your . Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Document any damages to the property during check in, and immediately send them to the host. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are useful if a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent quite a few problems.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are an excellent resource to find the best local scenic spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave a review! Property managers rely on good feedback to propel future bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will be thankful you shared your experience find their best vacation rental. Remember to be objective.
