Tips for getting the best vacation property experience:
How to get the best rental value:
- Summer is high season in Sullivans Island. Booking your Sullivan's Island vacation rental in Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
- Some property managers offer promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Sullivan's Island area visitors guide magazines which include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Sullivan's Island visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Choosing and booking the perfectvacation home:
- Choose a group leader, choose your dates, and choose a maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. 1307 Cove Avenue by AvantStay
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is normally available on booking pages. If not, reach out to the host before you reserve the home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You will need to determine which bed configuration is best for your vacation.
- If there's a certain Sullivan's Island attraction you crave, browse homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
- If your group is traveling with pets, search for a pet-friendly rental. Ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
Tips to have a fantastic stay:
- Get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your . We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, inspect the property for any problem areas upon your arrival. E-mail the property manager right away to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent quite a few difficulties.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers bothering your peaceful home life. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would have never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your rental while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- Re-check the property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at departure. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a wonderful stay? Most rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
