- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, call the host before you reserve the property. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to work out what bed configuration is best for your group.
- If there's an individual Sullivan's Island destination you are crazy about, browse properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or could be applied to your agreement.
More tips for your stay:
- Get the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home.
- Upon check-in, record any issues with the property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Respect your neighbors. Often times, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let thieves ruin your holiday.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your group have a fantastic stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
